Do we use only 10% of our brain?

An original quote that has often been misinterpreted is:

"We are making use of only a small part of our possible mental and physical resources" (William James, 1908)

It has nothing to do with saying that we are using only 10% of our brain. Here are a few arguments why this is actually very much unlikely:

Given these arguments, I would say that it is very, very likely that we used 100% of our brain.

However, you can improve both your physical (strength, flexibility, accuracy, cardiovascular, etc...) and mental (attention, memory, motivation, self-esteem, etc...) skills. The brain plasticity is not a myth:

Therefore, I bet that you are using 100% of your brain though you might not exploit 100% of your abilities… :)
